Exhibition at The Perceval Institute by Izzie Gregson and Ellie Gregory 1st September 6pm-8pm and 2nd-6th September 10am-6pm
Izzie Gregson
Izzy Gregson’s practice begins and revolves around nature. Drawing on inspiration from romantic landscape painters, she encapsulates movement within the North Cornish coast where she grew up, making plein air studies used to inform larger pieces.
She studies the push and pull between appreciation of landscape and the desire to represent Cornwall’s beauty and appeal while acknowledging the impact tourism and humanity has had on the area.
In her recent work, she attempts to bridge these concepts, pairing the movement of the landscape with those that move through it, remaining aware that while the modern earth can never be truly natural again, there is still space for contemporary landscape painting and a romantic approach.
Izzy is a BA Fine Art Painting student at the University of Brighton and is about to begin her final year. Her first solo exhibition took place in 2025 at the Atlantic, New Polzeath and she has also exhibited in Brighton and London.

About the Photographer
Ellie Gregory Photography
Ellie is a surf photographer based in Cornwall. Having grown up in Cornwall, she has developed a deep connection to the sea, and surfing quickly became a passion of hers.
Her enthusiasm for the ocean naturally evolved into a love for documenting the sport through photography. Through her work, Ellie aims to capture the beauty and power of both surfing and the sea, while telling the stories of the talented individuals who ride the waves.
This exhibition celebrates the brave and passionate surfers who take on England’s winters, heading into the water whatever the conditions. Alongside the energy and action of winter surfing, the collection also captures the quieter moments in between the calm, beauty and stillness of the Cornish coast.
Each photo in the exhibition is available as a print. Simply scan the QR code beside the photo to view the piece online and find out more.
