Last year in May our Institute was due to celebrate its 125th birthday. Covid came and spoiled the party.
Also the storms came thick and fast and as a result we now face the daunting prospect of re-roofing the entire building to enable this iconic community resource to achieve another 125 years.
We have made a promising start with grants, donations and pledges towards our target of £49,900.
The Project Roof team are busy completing further grant applications but we know that with financial support from the community as well, it will help us to achieve our duty of care now and for the future generations just as our Victorian fathers did in 1895.
